ABOUT
Welcome to Lavender Grave Tending and Flowers by Sian

I provide a personal, friendly and respectful grave tending service in East Sussex and surrounding areas for those who are unable to visit loved ones' memorials in person.

Having sadly lost both my parents in recent years, I understand how important it can be to have that special place to honour and remember those we have sadly lost, but unfortunately there are many reasons that mean we cannot always tend their memorials in person.

My mother was a florist and I have always appreciated flowers, plants and gardens.  I spent over 20 years working in IT, with creative pastimes being reserved just for my spare time, but after being made redundant I thought it was the perfect time to take the opportunity to do something a little more artistic.

Why 'Lavender'?

Lavender flowers are known to represent purity, silence, devotion, serenity, grace and calmness.  In addition to the flower's significance, its purple colour also comes with great symbolism.  The colour purple is also associated with a higher purpose and spiritual connectivity.

You’ve Just Walked On Ahead of Me

And I’ve got to understand
You must release the ones you love
And let go of their hand.
I try and cope the best I can
But I’m missing you so much
If I could only see you
And once more feel your touch.
Yes, you’ve just walked on ahead of me
Don’t worry I’ll be fine
But now and then I swear I feel
Your hand slip into mine.
